Welcome!
Bridle Ridge is a 331-home master-planned community covering 191 acres. Our community is fun, active, and has a lot to offer for those young and older. Social events are planned throughout the year and provide a great chance to connect with neighbors and friends. Award-winning ALTA and USTA tennis teams give players at all levels a chance to get out and play. Our playground and pool (seasonal) are available for families to relax and have fun.

SOCIAL MEDIA

Bridle Ridge has a Facebook group for residents called 'Bridle Ridge Neighbors' that is operated by neighbor volunteers (not governed by the HOA). If you are a resident and would like to join us on Facebook, please request to be added to the group and an admin will grant you approval.

Registration for newcomers is at Hill Educational Center, located at 136 Elm Street, Cumming, GA 30040. You can contact the Registration and Records office at (678) 947-0863, ext. 0 to schedule an appointment to register. There is information on the documents needed for student registration on the quick link found on the Forsyth County Schools webpage www.forsyth.k12.ga.us. Bus routes including the stops within Bridle Ridge and approximate pickup times can also be found on this website.


STATE AND COUNTY SERVICES

Forsyth County

www.forsythco.com is the web address of the Forsyth County Government. You can sign up online to receive severe weather alerts by phone/email/text. By doing so, you will also be automatically signed up to receive emergency notification calls from the 911 Center that notify residents of emergencies or important situations. This has proved to be very useful to Bridle Ridge residents in the past.
The non-emergency phone numbers for the Forsyth County Sheriff are (770) 781-2222 between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. and (770) 781-3087 after hours.

Vehicle Licensing/Tags
New residents moving to Bridle Ridge from a different state can apply for a Georgia driver's license (within 30 days of becoming a Georgia resident) at any of the Georgia Department of Driver Services Customer Service Centers. All Customer Service Centers can transfer an out-of-state license to a Georgia driver's license, but a few offer appointments to transfer your out-of-state license to Georgia (recommended). The centers are open from Tuesday to Saturday with Tuesdays typically being busy days. Our nearest centers are located at Norcross and Cumming, with Lawrenceville being the nearest one offering appointments for transfers. Visit www.dds.ga.gov for more information and the documents required.
You are required to provide a valid Georgia driver's license or Georgia ID card with the current Forsyth County address before a license plate can be issued for your vehicle(s).

The Tax Commissioner's Office that is closest to us is the Sharon Springs Office, 1950 Sharon Road Cumming, GA 30041 (770)781-2110, located within Sharon Springs Park. The main office is in downtown Cumming. Visit www.forsythco.com for more information on getting your tags. You can also register to vote in Georgia when you apply for your Georgia driver's license.


RECREATION AND SPORTS PROGRAMS

www.forsythco.com/parks has information on the parks and recreation centers in the county.

Our nearest county recreation center is Old Atlanta Park Recreation Center 810 Nichols Rd, Suwanee (770) 205-4646. Amenities there include two basketball gymnasiums, an indoor walking track, a weight room with cardio, a community room, a dance studio, and a fitness studio.

Forsyth County also has a recreation center at Fowler Park. Fowler Park is a large county park that has tennis courts, walking trails, baseball fields, soccer fields, 2 playgrounds, a skate park, a dog park, an outdoor track, and access to the Big Creek Greenway trail.  

Sharon Springs Park is another park nearby and they offer football, baseball, playground, tennis, and walking trails. 

Aside from the programs offered by the Forsyth County Parks & Recs Department, some of the popular sports clubs that our neighborhood kids enjoy are Johns Creek UMC, i9 Sports, United Futbol Academy (UFA), All-Around Gymnastics, and Johns Creek Baptist Church.


OTHER LOCAL SERVICES

POST OFFICE: While the USPS post office that delivers our mail is located at 990 Peachtree Industrial Blvd, Suwanee, GA 30024 (678) 482-8421, the nearest one is 4575 Webb Bridge Rd, Alpharetta, GA 30005.

LIBRARY: Our nearest public library is Sharon Forks Library at 2820 Old Atlanta Road, Cumming, GA 30041 (770) 781-9840.

EMERGENCY: And just in case, the nearest Emergency Room is at Emory Johns Creek Hospital 6325 Hospital Parkway, Johns Creek, GA 30097 (678) 474-7000.
